If snooze is a problem , Start work later

Since ive always had a problem with the snooze button, pressing it every moment , to gain that extra little bit. Ive realised that maybe insted of cutting of my sleep , i should just start my work later in the day. To allow myself the time i need to get up and sorted properly. before i started work at 8 and was haing problems strolling in to work tired. Now i start my day at 12 and no longer have the problem. I can get up shower exercise and eat a healthy salad and breakfast , check the net and do my household jobs all before i even start my days work. I also don't need to worry about going to bed on time its just so much simpler. At work we have less customers in the evening so i don't need to work as hard. Usually when i get home at 4pm i am tired and sleepy after a full day of work now, now when i get home at 8pm and im tired and sleepy thats ok because its soon time to goto sleep any way. I don't need to force myself to wake up to do my household jobs then go to sleep ,...

Drinking Coffee before going to the gym

Makes sense that the boost in energy from drinking coffee will increase the work load and workout in the gym so its  30mins before i go to the gym and im drinking strong coffee with a little sugar as its bitter. I havent worked out over this weekend so my monday sessions are usally a little slow but i hope this helps. Im working the chinup bar today and the punchbag. Il probly beat the shit out of it as ive got this caffine booste to work with. But only doubt is i usally have a crash after workout is over i wonder if the coffe will make me crashany harder.

Stuck Left hook to the body

Currently working on a new body weight routine , for the week this will include boxing sessions in the gym for loosness cardio and handspeed. mainly bodywieght exersies for strenght , not working on the weights until i have properly masterd my own weight. Pressups and other exersises will be done in sets as though i would be doing the wieghts , i want to master the pull up bar as well. Moments of inspiration seems so positive but then fall away after a few days , i was so pepped up last weekend after seeing an old friend win world champion freerunning , which lead to the inspired change back away from weights and towards the bodyweight exersies. And now after a week has past although i have some new angles to play when i go to the gym all the inspired motivation has disapeared and i am left with the basic fact that i just need to now work with this new goal. Power up conditioning upper body

Handstand training and pushups are require upperbody mastery , very strong internal core strenght and whole body tone and condition. Controll of all the muscles as a complete unit. Will not lift another weight in the gym until i have complete control of th weight of my body. I used to do body weight conditioning and have found that joining a gym made me think about the machiens to much , i have gone up allot on the different weighs but have found simple things like pressups harder , so im leavingthe weights alone for a while and using conditioning techniques like these ones to get control and condition back properly.

After seeing some awsome videos the last few days of people who are freerunning and doing parkor. im going to start encorperating more explosive movements in to my training Starting with one change and thats mastering the pullup bar at the gym doing allsorts of exersise including the Kipping pullup. Did a session of them today and im going to be working on this technique a little more. Difficult to do as the pullup bar is so close to the wall but i felt good using more of my whole body to launch myself up insted of just pumping  the arms in the traditional dead hang lift that ive used so much before.

How to take a cold shower

Ive writen a few posts on the benifits of cold showers and my experiances with them. I took some time of using them, when you dont take a cold shower for a while the water feels that much more unplesent and so you go longer without taking one. But this last week or so i have been taking only cold showers and they have been great. Just wanted to sharesome tips on how to take the cold shower , and how to get in to a cold shower. Before i would just get straight in and it would be painfull, now i do this and its much easier . stand away from the cold water and put one leg in, use your hands to massage in the cold water. Then change legs and put the other leg in the cold shower and massage the cold water on to  the leg. Then do the arms one at a time rubbing the water and massaging then the Head and scrub the water in to your hair and face. Then the body and finally the back . To Do list Tuesday 4th august 2009

Go to the gym>>>Working on the core and bodyweight conditioning and also some pullups and some training on the treadmill. Possibly to a few mini stretches during the day loosen up and get sorted. Went out and spent time doing some kick sparing found that my non dominant leg wasnt kicking as high or powerful as it used to some spend some time loosening that up a little. Revise for job interview>>Job interview at Severn Trent water as a telepone advisor . They want a competencey interview so will need to think of lots of different examples, with some billing questions and some maths questions and a practice telephone task. So will need to work on the old phone voice again tomorow , out of practice with the clarity and. Cooking>>>>Making the Grilled Chicken , the mash potatoe and corn tomorow. Will be making some green tea and probly get ceral fruit and fiber as well. Need to pay my housemate>>>just find out how much i owe and pay that off, also...

Corn BBQ Chicken and Mash Potatoe

Just been thinking about what i eat today and comparing my eating habbits to other people , im so suprised how simple my meals can be just a bowl of corn and im sorted. No need to spend lots and lots on making extreemly elaborate meals just keeping things quick simple and filling. A high and fiberouse diet making sure that all my ntrients are coverd throughout the day and im sorted. Tomorows meal BBQ Grilled Chicken , Huge Bowl of corn with butter and mash potato. mmm Sounds good . Hoping to have some BBQ sauce left over to mix in with the potatoes and corn.

My Latest dreaming trick

Using Dreams to Trick me back to sleep For a long time i have been working on getting up when the alarm clock sounds and starting my day straight away. And this was going really well my trick was to set the alarm an hour or two before i wanted to wake up, so i wake up when the alarm goes off and i can get a drink and remind myself that i will be waking up in an hours time, so i still got to enjoy an hour of snoozing but still getting up on time. But recently my mind has figured out a new trick for me turning off my alarm and going back to sleep for another 2-3 hours . What will happen around the time i will be needing to wake up i will have an extremely vivid dream almost lucid, and in the dream a huge event or story will begin to unfold, one where there is a epic battle or situation that i am in, then i will wake up. At which point my self talk and sleepiness will beg me to go back to sleep to find out what happened next in the dream. I am creating dreams that need an ending so when i...

This leap of faith applies to the change of BeWiseMonkey.Com changing its server on the web, the site was getting good quality hits everyday , up to 1000 hits a day and has all the promise of growing to be a nice popular site, for all those people who like watching funny monkeys, checking some nice girl pictures and reading some random articles. Unfortunatly the site was on Wordpress.com which has a very little tolerance for advertising. Affiliate links and adverts are not allowed on Wordpress and so i was risking the site by having it on there. Not that i could have just taken ads off the site, but i want to be able to advertise on my site and i dont want all my articles to be deleted. Easy Mistakes Cost Hard Choices

  I learnt from business the principal of RIGHT FIRST TIME , this statement is very profound as simple mistakes that would be easy to do right first time, then turn in to huge wastes of time when done wrong. Not only do they waste time but the time they waste is stress filled hard work , depressing and usally causes stress and negativity and cost of money and resources. What also is lost and i think this is the worst thing. The loss of the unknown, ie had it been done RIGHT FIRST TIME , we would probly be allot happier be working on another goal, we would be more motivated and a stronger more confident person. The experiances and path that would have been walked down due to getting the situation right could have been a whole lot better. Simple mistakes cost so much and hold you down, i used to procrastinate allot at university. and so much time was spent thinking and planning to do the work , i stayed in some nights playing catchup to the work i should have done months ago. Double Check To Do List

  Missed an important interview this morning because i was sure in my mind that it was at 2.45 in the afternoon even though its written in my diary in big black pen 9.40 am . I had already planned my entire day around 2.45pm and was busy with some chores before setting off, when a glance at the pad gave me the realisation that the meeting was already 2 hours ago. Had i double checked the night before then i would have been aware of this and planed my day around the 9.40am meeting. Now another time waster  is the reschedule of the appointment. The searching for the number to contact the person. The possibility of loss of earnings and reputation. The whole stress and annoyance that i would let a meeting be confused and not plan well in advance. Now i got my day on catch up and damage limitation due to a blunder that would have been easily avoided had i done a quick double check. Fail to Prepare  = Prepare to Fail !   BeWiseMonkey

Music Or White Noise Helps With Study

Just a Google search of Music and Concentration comes up with many good ideas, I personaly know that i can work for longer while ive got some music playing, and dont go cheap on your music if your playing from your pc make sure you got your sound card and speakers set up properly, you wanna have clarity of the notes and be able to clearly hear all the notes and melodies and intricate patterns in music. If your listing to Pianos you wanna ajust until when the keys play the hairs go up on your arms. My speaker set up i got bass controll and volume to i can pick out some parts with a little extra bass. Have your music files well organised and get an idea where each song is so you can string together. Another benifit i also find is i am able to exersise for longer times and do a better quality when there is musice on . I enjoy Royksop Melody AM while im practising Yoga chillin and doing stretches.

Vegtables and Salads for Breakfast

Idea when looking at the suggestions for breakfast there is so many dry and bland cerials and sugary coco pops ideas where is the 5 a day. if eating fruit and vegtables is so important, then why is waking up to a vegtable soup or a salad such a frowned apon idea. Starting the day with coffe and toast or starting the day with a bowl of greens and cherry tomatoes. While they are both different, it seems the norm to go for the unhealthy option, so while starting the day off with breakfast is important how would boosting that with a proportion of your vital vegtable intake make a difference. I have always struggled to get up and force a bowl of ceral down. it is too heavy and dry, so almost every breakfast so far in my life has been skipped. Many attempts to get up and eat have been attempted and so far i have never really managed to make the habbit stick. Where they overcome their Diabetes and other health problems by eating only raw and organic food for 30 days. The changes happen fast and within a few days they no longer require medications , mainly due to eating good food and being healed by the food. Revision Ideas for study and memory

Currently looking for a new job, and so i think now is a good time to revise what i have learnt from university and from my work experiances. So to revise, just. Go over all the stuff you have learnt, Over learn , learn it over and over and over until you get sick then learn it some more. Go through notes and books and audio files go on youtube and watch videos, write lists and lists of key words and associated words. Draw pictures and write stories about the subject wanting to learn. Just revise it all .

Since i have had no hot water for the past two weeks i have gone back to my old habit of taking cold showers, but this time the habit is back and with avengence and i think its gona stick as well. My first post about cold showers To get over the shock of the cold water shower, i thought the only reason for this shock is I'm leaving too much time between showers, so started to take 2x cold showers a day, 1 in the morning before work and 1 in the evening to unwind after work. Getting used to Cold showers, as well as taking 2x a day also stay in the shower until the cold no longer feels cold and you start to feel the warm "Pins and Needles" feeling, this is the best part about cold showers once the initial shock is over and then this warm tingly sensation starts to happen.
